I welcomed you, myself a tango queen
As the music started and,
You made just few dance steps
I was captivated, beyond words
"You're something else -
A tango wizard"
I confessed in my inner mind
I'd never seen it this way before
Drawing me closer to yourself
My spirit went out from me and,
Travelled out of this world
Then came when you lifted me up
That's when the bubbles burst
It was as if I was drawn far into the sky
"Was I still in the world?" I asked
It wasn't heaven that came down rather,
The earth went to meet heaven
I was carried away in your embrace
As the spirit of tango possessed me
Your expertise took me to a realm -
A realm I had never been to and,
I neither wanted to come back nor,
Disentangle from your grip
With my closed eyes I prayed,
"Let me remain in your arms", because,
That's where I belong -
In the nest of tango itself
