"A picture is worth a thousand words" - and this one spoke loud.
What I see:
A pair of legs sticking straight out of a calm river, like someone dived headfirst and froze in time. The water is still, reflecting an old brick building and tall green grass. Peaceful on top, but upside-down legs? That’s a mystery.
What I feel:
First shock, then wonder. My heart said “is he okay?” but my spirit said “what if he’s exactly where he’s meant to be?” The reflection looks like a whole other world under there.
MY STORY:
They called it a drowning. I call it a doorway.
My Mum warned me about deep water, but the fish was beautiful and fast. One jump, then the river hugged me tight. My legs wave at the sky now, toes pointing to clouds. Up here it looks like trouble. Down here... there’s a door of light, and the fish is waiting with answers.
Every full moon, the river chooses someone. Not to take, but to show.
So if you pass this bridge and see legs in the air, don’t call help yet. Ask first: “What did the river show you?”
Note: this story is how the prompt led me - the upside-down legs felt like an invitation, not an accident. The calm water told me it was safe.
