We are growing every day, and this is great. We have exceptional writers here than it is happening on Steem. I checked through Steem a while ago, and I could barely see posts that I can tag as an actual value for me to consume, but I have more than I could read daily here. This is what I define as a True Value. As I used to say, I see value in the contents I can pick ideas, and learn from. However, I think we should make something clear for our newcomers.
I think what happened to me back in early 2017 is still happening on Hive. I joined Steem through a friend, @knowledges, but maybe he forgets to tell me to make a decent introduction before I start the real adventure on Steem back then. I registered the
@tykee, got my account verified, and I hopped in with contents on my mind. There was no formal introduction, and that was how I started.
This might look little, but many people are missing it a lot. Most people that are writing the introduction post might have someone that advises them to do. Some may just come in here and start pushing out posts without introduction.
We all know the effect this could have on new users as the community may not have the chance to guide them and show them the things we have here. Most people used to comment on Newbies to guide them and invite them to different communities here.
So, I think this may need a minor work. As a suggestion, maybe every project that offers services for account creation should have a simple guide for users as they open an account with them. This could be... !Important, Hey @user, congratulation on joining the great community of Hive. Before you show your work on the Hive blockchain, try to make an introduction post with the tag #introduceyourself so you could get the best experience on using the Hive Blockchain.
This is just a way this could be done. I am not sure if it is the best way. You could have a better way to get it done, but it looks like an important message to pass for newcomers. I will tag @roomservice
@good-karma,
@roelandp,
@blocktrade
@bdcommunity @Someguy123 @3Speak.Online and
@actifit to see this post. However, maybe this should be on a section that will be visible for the newbies to see on Hive.blog. I just feel it is an important message to pass because I noticed the negative effect on me when I started.
Hive is our Home and let continue to make it home for the people.
