Hive is a web 3.0 platform and decentralization is the beauty of this platform. In my eyes, it's one of the best platforms and I think that all of the active users may agree with it. But when newbies join this platform, most of them leave this platform or do not continue here for a long time. A common question may come to mind that why they leave this platform. But we are saying this as one of the best platforms. Today I am going to discuss why newbies leave. I guess the topic came through in mind because a few days ago or a week ago, a community organized a contest on this topic.

The first thing is Hive platform is indeed hard to understand at least for newbies and its harsh reality. I discussed it with many seniors here, and I it would be better to give a user-friendly system for newbies. The answer was good enough to satisfy me, and the system is designed to be harsh to protect this platform from spammers. A platform needs genuine people, not spammers. But I must say that at the present time the system is quite friendly compared to the time when I joined here. And in this case, I think the newbies are quite lucky.
Believe it or not, most of us joined here because of money for the first time. It's the driving factor and I don't deny it. But nothing in this world comes free or without any effort. Unfortunately, many newbies come to this platform just to make easy money. They don't put in much effort here and don't engage with people, and their little or few attempts to make money fail to get recognition and their motivation drops easily.
Hive is like an ocean, and there are a lot of things to learn and a lot of things to understand. Most of the newbies fail to explore it and they don't understand the true potential of this blockchain. Most of them are used to web 2.0 platforms, and they don't understand what the true meaning of decentralization is. I think that Hive is not something that can be understood by narrow-minded people and one person must think about long term to enjoy the journey here.
Another reason is that many newbies think of themselves as a pro or super smart. They think that they can use AI bots to make content and generate huge rewards from here without making any real effort. I think they are really foolish because the users of this platform are not people whom they can fool easily, because we truly know how to understand or differentiate between AI content and genuine content. There is no need to think that other people are backdated or don't understand the technology well. After getting some downvotes, they leave the platform naturally.
Then another reason at the present time can be the Hive price. I also agree that the price of Hive is very low and it also means that the rewards are also a little compared to the past times and the rewards is indeed something that can encourage newbies a lot and inspire them to continue, while a low Hive price is an opportunity to stake more Hive for the old users.
There can be many more reasons to leave, but I just mentioned the few that seem very common in my opinion.
