RE: Mushroom Monday - Three Edible Fungal Species from the Eastern United States
The certification allows me to sell unprocessed, wild-foraged mushrooms to individuals and restaurants within the state of Michigan. I'm only allowed to sell species from a pre-specified list of 20 genera

RE: A Choice Edible Species - Honey Mushroom (Armillaria mellea)
As far as I am aware, parboiling is not necessary for honey mushrooms. You may want to only eat the caps however. The stems can be fairly fibrous.

Are they tasty? I've heard that wood hedgehogs are good, but not much on the other hedgehog species.

RE: Getting into Mushroom ID
I highly recommend the second edition Peterson Field guide. I have both the first and second editions, and they are both great resources if you live in North America. iNaturalist.com, mushroomobserver.org,

RE: Photos From a Trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula (Pictured Rocks & Porcupine Mountains)
I did! There were tons of tinder conks (Fomes fomentarius) as well as a few other red-brown conks that I believe were Ganoderma sessile, though I'm not certain.

RE: Mushroom Monday - A Weekend Hike along Sand Creek
You're right, we've had a few good rains over the last couple of weeks. The ghost pipes are pretty cool. I was curious why they have no chlorophyll to photosynthesize, and it turns out that they are parasitic

RE: Mushroom Monday - Fungal Finds from a Weekend at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
You're welcome! I came across them for the first time a few months ago and had to figure out what they were. They're a really beautiful and brightly colored species in person.
