Thank you so much!

They are very beautiful and scare easily. I had to sneak up on these two to get these photos.

Thank you very much!

Thank you!

Thank you! I love to photograph them because they are so diverse - you never know what shapes and colors you might come across when hunting for them.

Thank you!

Thank you so much!

This species of lichen is common in the Great Lakes region where I live, but most people do not notice them since they are very small. The saucer-like structures that are in these photos are only 2-3

Thank you very much! The most difficult for me have been the Epicoccum. Trying to capture the texture of the surface among all of the folds required some additional carefully placed lights to try to better

Thank you! I had been looking for one of these for a few years before finding this one. I had only seen them as roadkill previously, so I was very happy to see this one walking up the trail towards me

Thank you very much - yours is impressive as well!

Yes, this is taken using my microscope

The cocoon of a Charops wasp

I'm glad that you like the picture! I don't think that any of the copepods are actively laying eggs in any of these images, but the masses of spheres attached to some of their abdomens are eggs.

It is a yellow cup fungi but not a mold. I agree that they are beautiful - I'm always happy to find this species :)

Thank you!

Most of the plants I've come across lately are ones that are familiar enough for me to identify in the field, but for those that I am unsure of, or are new to me, I use inaturalist as a starting point.

My entry for this week's challenge: Ephemeral Icicles Looking forward to seeing the rest of the entries!

We have a few kinds that live here in the eastern US. I'll share more images of the ones I have had a chance to photograph 👍

Same here. They seem to like building their webs at eye-level, so I end up walking face-first into their webs at least once or twice each summer.
