Christmas Nostalgia
I sincerely believe that all my life (my short life) I have LOVED Christmas, I think you can see it in my smile in the pictures. But I must admit that when one is a child Christmas has a very different taste, I remember the excitement with which I waited for December 25th to be able to open the presents, and as well, I went with my parents to Toy Store to do the Ready for Santa when without realizing it my parents were writing down the codes and making sure they were left to buy them the next day.
Even when I knew that Santa didn't exist, I kept pretending I didn't know, and I kept spying on my parents to see where they kept the presents and how they got them under the tree without my noticing.
Nostalgia de Navidad
Sinceramente creo que toda mi vida (mi corta vida) he AMADO la navidad, creo que se nota en mi sonrisa en las fotos. Pero debo admitir que cuando uno es pequeño la navidad tiene un sabor muy muy diferente, recuerdo la emoción con la que esperaba el 25 de diciembre para poder abrir los regalos, y como también, iba con mis padres a Juguetón (Tienda de juguetes) a hacer la Lista para Santa cuando sin darme cuenta mis padres lo que hacían era anotar los códigos y asegurarse de que quedan para comprarlos al otro día.
Hasta cuando ya sabía, que Santa no existía, seguía fingiendo que no lo sabía, y me la pasaba espiando a mis padres a ver donde rayos guardaban los regalos y cómo hacían para ponerlos debajo del arbolito sin que yo me diera cuenta.
I think we all agree that the most fun part of Christmas is opening the presents. I was very lucky to have been born into a very good, humble family who were dying to give me what they couldn't have.
Creo que todos estamos de acuerdo en que la parte más divertida de la Navidad es abrir los regalos, yo tuve mucha suerte de haber nacido en una familia muy buena, humilde y que se morían por darme lo que ellos no pudieron tener.
But, I also enjoyed all the activities that were invented in my school, soirees, bonuses, hot chocolate, hanging out with my cousins and playing until I couldn't. I think I even appreciated more seeing the lights in the streets and in my house. Going to talk to Santa in some mall. Running out of dinner on the 24th so I can go to bed early and have Santa come in.

Pero, también disfrutaba mucho todas las actividades que se inventaban en mi colegio, veladas, aguinaldos, chocolate caliente, juntarme con mis primos y jugar hasta no poder. Creo que hasta apreciaba más ver las lucecitas en las calles y en mi casa. Ir a hablar con Santa en algún centro comercial. Salir corriendo de la cena del 24 para dormirme temprano y que Santa llegue.
Por cierto, adivina quien soy en la foto de arriba.
(Risas) Que tiempos aquellos!
I sincerely believe that when one is small one sees things with much more magic than now, and I was just telling Eddie that these days one is more excited by the fullness that is going to happen on the 24th on Christmas Eve than one perceives. But I think that as he said in his post, when I have my children, I'm sure that magic will be revived.

Sinceramente creo que cuando uno es pequeño ve las cosas con mucha más magia que ahora, y justo le decía a Eddie que uno en estos días se emociona más por la hartura que se va a dar el 24 en noche buena que la navidad perce. Pero creo que como él mismo dijo en su post, cuando tenga mis hijos, seguro que se revive esa magia.
