There's this saying that goes like this " Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are" We cannot over-emphasize the truth about this, it is true that the kind of friend you move around with will definitely tell the kind of person you are. I as a person had to do away with some kind of kind because of our different ways of thinking, dressing, talking, and the people we hang out with, I just had to do away with them, now the people I call friends though they aren't many in number and they are valuable people.

My older friend Mercy is someone I have known since childhood and the reason we are still friends is because we share similar traits and also because they went through a lot together, there were times when we actually used to get things done for each, even now that we are older. Mercy is someone who I know can back me up in times of need and in trouble. One time my phone unexpectedly got spoilt and I didn't have even money on me to get it fixed, I didn't know who to call, I didn't want to call her, because I knew she was in school and also had a lot of things she needed to put in place, but because I was in a tight spot I just had to call her and immediately I made my request know to her, she sent me the money I had requested for without asking for a refund, I don't think my former friend would have had my back the way my friend mercy had my back, the more reason I had to just set my network right.

Another friend I have is Omowumi I met her on my first day of school, we haven't been friends for up to a year but I can tell, we will have a friendship that will last and blossom for a long time, omowumi is a selfless person who is ready to share and she is also a bright person who I believe and know has something to offer, not monetary, but academically, she is sound and I do learn some things I might not understand in class from her.
I have a few other friends who I know that it is not a waste being friends with them, having a friend who is of like mind can be hard sometimes, but then getting to know each other likes and dislikes also matter, so one would know the path to toll along with.
I made a few friends here on hive the ones that we have met physically, so far we have been good and I know and want to believe that they are people who would go through lengths for me, likewise myself going through lengths for them, because friendship is not a one side thing or relationship, it is something the two parties agree and follow on.
Well I know my friends will always have my back any day and anytime, I can solely rely on them.
