Hi Steemians,
Today I would like to take you to eat some really nice, cheap and famous mochi in Hilo, Hawaii. Two Ladies Kitchen is a popular dessert store situated at Hilo, Hawaii famous for their yummy mochi, in particular, their famous Strawberry mochi. Mochi is a Japanese rice cake normally with some yummy filling or fruits in the middle.
We arrived on a rainy day so there was not much of a line. Our friends told us there is normally a line just to buy mochi! Lets see what you can buy and the packs available. As you can see, there is a large variety of mochi available and the famous strawberry mochi was the most expensive. Overall the price is really cheap for freshly made mochi - hence why they are so famous in the area.
Its a tiny store with a small counter but they do serve some great mochi! Here’s our box! Look at how colourful they look!
This is the famous strawberry mochi and also the most expensive one from the selection. Look at that, a whole strawberry in the mochi. Total goodness! The mochi are not that sweet, in fact the strawberry was sweeter in my opinion. The other flavours all have their own flavours and overall, it was not sweet to the point you can’t have more than one, you just want more and more of them. There are a few seats inside the shop but many people prefer to take them away so they can enjoy them with their loved ones or take their time to enjoy them.
