Crypto takes the fall to save the dollar and our messed up financial machine?
I'll tell you when it happens so they say.
The FED has printed what about 12.5 trillion dollars for QE. Meanwhile US GDP $18.6 trillion, debt $20.4 trillion. The system is spiraling out of control. Can we save it by destroying wealth? Turn off the money printers and turn on the money shredders. Que the cryptos.
Pump the crypto market then destroy it. Destroying trillions of dollars in the process. The opposite of quantitative easing. The crypto machine could be used as a paper shredder (paper being USD).
Save the dollar, save the financial system as we know it. Or move on to something else. Crypto markets present a good scapegoat to take the fall.
Need real money in there first, not crypto gains or fake market caps, but real earned dollars that would be put somewhere else. At what point is there enough real USD involved that crypto destruction would have a significant effect at quantitative UNeasing, the opposite of money printing, money shredding.
But first make the crypto markets so attractive that everyone wants in. And wants in at high prices. And wants in heavily.
BOOM! Queue wealth transfer to banks. Then come out with the "I told you so."
Or does the effect of this wreak too much havoc throughout the financial system (mortgage home for cryptos, buy cryptos on credit cards, loans for cryptos, etc) that it at that point could not be rightfully accomplished as I've outlined. Have to look at who gets hurt. The ones who should get hurt is per usual, the hard working Joe Blow taxpayer who has not yet fully accepted servitude. This of course puts him a fair bit closer... fully in line with the rules of their game. Thus we have plausibility.
Our current path seems unsustainable and dollar death seems imminent. Inflation, despite them repeating we are not yet at 2% annually, is truly out of control and based on no facts at all I'd estimate it at closer to 100% over the last 8 years (~12.5% annually). Wealth destruction could be a way out. Whether that be negative interest rates, a crypto bust, or something else remains to be seen. With the flattening yield curve and leveraged every which way beyond all sense or comprehension, something interesting seems to be coming our way.
Cryptos good or bad, alive or dead. The banks will always win. You can't outsmart them, you can't outwit them, they will eat you for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 10 days a week.
