Starting the chapter "Ordinary Routine" in 1930, Tommy received orders from Don Salieri to drive Paulie and Sam for collection day. After picking up a new handgun and ammo from Vincenzo, Tommy met Ralphie, who fixed up his car and taught him how to lockpick vehicles.
A new day began as I started a fresh chapter titled Ordinary Routine, set in 1930. Tommy reflected on his first five slow days working at Salieri's Bar, where his tasks consisted of moving wooden crates and running basic errands.
The calm routine shifted when an associate informed Tommy that the Don wanted to see him inside the back room. Joining Paulie and Sam in the office, Don Salieri announced that collection day had arrived, assigning Tommy as the driver while Paulie and Sam handled the payments.
Sam noted that the route required only a few stops across the city. Frank stepped in to offer crucial advice, instructing us not to lay hands on anyone unless absolutely necessary. He emphasized that clients must view the family as a protective service rather than a threat.
With the plan set, Salieri directed Tommy to see Ralphie for a vehicle, while Paulie suggested making a quick stop at Vincenzo's workshop first to collect some new gear.
While Paulie and Sam headed toward the main garage, I sprinted straight to Vincenzo's workshop.
Vincenzo handed over a new handgun he had secured for Tommy and directed me toward a target dummy to test the weapon. Squeezing the trigger revealed the chamber was empty, so I picked up rounds from a nearby ammunition crate to load the gun.
Vincenzo warned Tommy to take proper cover during firefights rather than shooting himself, after which I exited the workshop to meet up with the others.
Paulie and Sam were waiting outside while I headed over to Ralphie's station. I found Ralphie polishing the vehicle I had stolen from Morello's men during our previous job.
Ralphie repaired the damage and proceeded to show Tommy how to pick the locks on similar vehicles, which added a crucial new skill to my arsenal before we set off on our route.
To be continued.
