While mourning Gaetano, Enzo exited the mine injured to find Merlo exploiting the workers. A knife fight ensued, serving as a combat tutorial where Enzo excelled before being overpowered. When an aftershock shattered the roof, Enzo slashed Merlo's cheek, slid away from gunfire, and found a getaway horse.
It was a heartbroken moment for Enzo as he couldn't save his friend. And when I was walking out of the mine, Enzo seemed slow as he was injured as well.
After escaping the mine, Enzo found the miners were struggling to survive when Merlo kept pushing them to work. So Enzo went to Merlo with an angry face, confronting the supervisor directly in front of the exhausted crowd as he was the one send them into the mine to die.
As Merlo didn't care what Enzo was complaining, Enzo put his knife out and prepared to fight the evil, so Merlo asked his people to back off, as he also wanted to end Enzo.
Merlo looked trained enough, but Enzo was not going low as well, so I was just pushing to unleash Enzo's natural skill to fight the evil man, weaving through his initial heavy swings.
Merlo was getting beaten up by his worker, but he was still taunting Enzo like he was winning. And I was like getting a hang of the tutorial of the combat in this fight, executing quick counterattacks and light slashes along with dodges.
But the story of the game didn't let me win as Merlo stopped and overpowered Enzo in the cinematic part and was about to end our protagonist's life, pinning Enzo down into the dirt.
It looked like luck was on Enzo's side this time as the shed above them started shattering. And taking this chance, Enzo stabbed on Merlo's cheek with his knife, which made Merlo even angrier.
Now when Merlo was about to confront Enzo, the shed started shattering into pieces, so taking this opportunity, Enzo just slid downwards when Merlo's men started shooting him from the high ground.
Now I had to escape the place, so I started running ahead and suddenly this black horse came out of the stables and was likely waiting for me while the enemies kept shooting at me.
The horse came as a savior.
To be continued.
