Bayek's mission in the bandit hideout was almost complete. Mered's man who was being held captive by the bandits had been rescued. Mered's lost horse had also been found. Now the only thing left was to leave the dangerous camp as quickly as possible and return to safety.
Bayek quickly mounted the horse. He put the rescued man on his back and left the camp. But unfortunately, before they had gone very far, some more bandits appeared in front of them. They immediately recognized the horse and the rescued man. They realized that Bayek had rescued them. So without a moment's delay, they began to attack.
Another tough battle began. These bandits were much stronger than the enemies in the previous camp. One of them was using a fire arrow. Bayek's body caught fire several times from that arrow. However, Bayek quickly controlled himself and started a counterattack. He killed the archers from a distance. Then he engaged the few strong warriors who came forward with swords in hand. Bayek was able to defeat them all. After the battle, he quickly returned to Mered.
Mered was very happy to see the horse. But Bayek was suspicious when he heard her talk. Mered was praising the horse as if it were not his own. Then Bayek realized that perhaps he had brought the wrong horse. Maybe Mered had not told him the whole truth. Still, Bayek remained silent, because his main goal was to gather information about the hyena.
Finally, Mered opened his mouth. He said that hyenas actually live in mountain caves and graves. There are always groups of hyenas roaming around him. He gave another strange piece of information. Hyenas and their followers collect a rare thing called silica. Many believe that it is a substance as valuable as the tears of the gods. They do not hesitate to kill innocent people to collect this silica.
After hearing all the information, Bayek decides that he can't waste any more time. He has to go straight to the hyena's lair and confront him. So he starts his journey towards the mountains.
On the way, he has to cross a vast desert. When he gets there, he notices one thing - numerous hyenas are roaming around. Then he understands why the name hyena is so closely associated with this area. On the way, he hunts a few hyenas and collects their skins, as they will be useful for upgrading weapons and equipment in the future.
On the way, Bayek also sees a huge pyramid. Out of curiosity, he decides to climb to the top of the pyramid. Although he struggles to climb to the top, a terrible dust storm begins as soon as he reaches it. All the surrounding scenery is instantly lost behind the dust. Bayek's hopes of seeing a beautiful view are shattered.
However, the mission is not over yet. So without wasting time, he descends back down and starts his journey towards the top of the mountain, where the mysterious hyena's lair awaits.
