Determined to rescue Isabella, I chased the kidnapping bandits by car before transferring to his horse, Tesoro. After leaping onto the getaway wagon, Enzo saved Isabella and shared a passionate kiss with her. Leaving Isabella with Cesare, Enzo tracked the bandits to their camp, and discovered their true target was Gennaro all along.
Unable to stop the kidnappers at the temple, Enzo and Cesare sprinted back to Gennaro's car. I slammed on the gas to chase down the fleeing bandits, driving at full speed along the narrow mountain tracks to keep the getaway wagon in sight.
The bandits threw up blockades along the main path, forcing me onto rough side routes that ultimately blew out the car's engine. Right on cue, Enzo's horse, Tesoro, appeared nearby, allowing Enzo to leap into the saddle and continue the high-speed pursuit on horseback while leaving Cesare behind with the broken vehicle.
As I galloped after the wagon, mounted bandit outriders ambushed us from the flanks. Steering Tesoro through the chaotic terrain, I drew my firearm and shot down the pursuing horsemen mid-gallop.
The bandits on the back of the wagon began hurling lit explosives onto the main road to blow up anyone following them. I constantly veered off onto side tracks to bypass the fire, and was taking down more bandit shooters guarding the trail along the way.
Closing the distance on the main getaway wagon, Enzo rode up beside the carriage and leaped directly onto the moving vehicle. Engaging the bandit leader in a brief struggle, Enzo grabbed Isabella, tackled her off the runaway wagon, and tumbled safely onto the dirt road.
Relieved to be alive and free, Isabella embraced Enzo on the side of the road. Overwhelmed by gratitude and adrenaline, she pulled Enzo close and kissed him right on the spot for saving her life.
Moments later, Cesare pulled up beside them in Gennaro's smoking car. However, Gennaro was nowhere to be seen, the remaining bandits had driven off with him, leaving the prospective suitor still captive.
Despite Cesare urging him to fall back and consider the danger, Enzo refused to abandon the mission. Asking Cesare to get back taking Isabella along, Enzo followed the wagon's fresh wheel tracks deep into the valley until he located the hidden bandit camp nestled in the hills.
Slipping near the perimeter of the hideout, Enzo overheard the outlaws arguing about the botched abduction. The bandits revealed that Gennaro was their original sole target, expressing confusion over why Don Torrisi's daughter was with him.
Recognizing that the Don's enforcers would arrive shortly, the bandit leader ordered his men to pack up camp immediately and move Gennaro before heavy reinforcements hit their position.
To be continued.
