on my shoulders
a mountain base
my face hidden from your sight
a forgotten shrine to some pagan god
and out of my nose reams of smoke
wisps of cloud surround my head
the tallest trees my hair
the crest of a temple
as rain glides over the edge into twin lakes
my eyes form oceans as limbs spread out into the sea
my feet become tectonic plates
my toes dig deep into the crust of plankton where
two dolphin and a school of fish swim inside the whale
then root like turnips moving towards a seeded core
my skin is the earth trembling with the will to live
my sweat crystalline jewels sewn in caves for you to witness
lava flows from my pores to flesh the land on which you lay
in arms stretched out to hold the sky
hands reach for a night when I can simply
close my eyes
as ten fingers fill the air with sound
my womb the cavern of creation
a winds sighs from your open lips
lungs breathing in your scent
to stir the world awake
to sing the earth
to sleep
