Hi, my dear friends!
I continue to learn how to draw in Procreate. I can't say that it was easy... In fact, I study two directions at the same time: the drawing itself and the technical features of the program. Fortunately, we live in an amazing time that gives us almost unlimited access to information and learning resources. I remember how it was when I was a student and we had to spend long hours in the library or look for a teacher to get the knowledge we needed.
This time I chose my dog Mouse as my model. And it was my mistake... Inexperienced artists like me should not undertake to draw a black animal. As my experience as a photographer shows, even for photography this is quite a challenge. Black animals are only good in photographs if you manage to catch the light.
As a result, I suffered with this drawing for more than eight hours! Several times I wanted to quit. Several times I sent a drawing to my daughter (a professional artist), she gave me comments and advice, I corrected the work, but I never got the result I wanted.
Nevertheless, this drawing will become the fourth component in my project "Procreate 100". In the photo below you can see how the Mouse looks and decide if I managed to create a portrait that looks like a model.
