This is still a very tiny baby squirrel. This is a girl. The main occupation for such a small squirrel is to eat and sleep. What to feed such a tiny squirrel? The best option is to buy a mixture for kittens in a veterinary pharmacy. Nothing else is needed at this stage. Near the nest where the baby squirrel sleeps, you need to put a heating pad or a bottle of warm water.
You can feed the baby squirrel with a syringe. That's what we did yesterday.
But a healthier option is a special baby bottle for kittens and puppies. So the baby squirrel learns to suck milk.
After feeding, you need to take a damp cloth or cotton swab and imitate how the mother squirrel licks the baby's genitals. Baby squirrel needs to pee. After that, you need to do a light massage of the abdomen. This is necessary for the digestion process to “start” and for the baby squirrel to poop.
