Hi, my dear Hive Gardners!
I have to admit that my roses this year are especially good. It's hard for me to say what really contributed to this, but I think of three factors. First, the plants became fully mature. These are no longer young shoots that were bent under the weight of buds. Oh no! These roses are already quite experienced and they have seen life. They know what heavy sleet, heat and drought, constant temperature fluctuations are like. They saw everything!
Secondly, two years ago, when I finally put my life in order after my marriage collapsed, I began to pay more attention to the garden. My roses have also received their share of my care. I did seasonal pruning, fed them with fertilizers, fought pests. These royal persons of any garden turned out to be very grateful and responsive. Today I can confidently say that we have found a common language with them.
And the third factor that I think of is a very warm winter this year. Unusually warm. Given that the russians stubbornly bombed our thermal power plants in order to freeze our cities, this even became an occasion for jokes for us. Indeed, what could they do if God loves my country so much that he gave us a warm winter this year in most of our territory. But we are talking about roses here. Oh yeah! My roses have definitely appreciated this warm winter too. They didn't have to spend their strength and energy to survive during severe frosts and therefore they were able to use all this to bloom, bloom and bloom.
By the way, I want to tell you that my lilies and daylilies are already full of buds. It will take quite a bit of time and I hope that my garden will be painted in additional colors.
