Hey everyone, it's me again, I haven't posted any blogs in a while, but I'm trying to get back on track. Anyway, today's subject is going to be about how pollinating works, types of pollination, how you can do it and support your plant to produce bigger, tastier, and more fruit while your plant continues to thrive. So let's start spilling the tea.

First of all, what IS pollination?
Pollination is the reproductive process of plants, it's kind of similar to the human reproductive process, here's how it works:
First, the pollen, which represents the sperm, stored on something called an "Anther", is transported onto something called a "Stigma" that receives pollen by the wind blowing onto the pollen transporting it onto the stigma, or when bees take the pollen and place it directly onto the stigma. And if the pollen grain is compatible, it grows something called a "pollen tube", it continues to grow into the flower to reach something called an "Ovule", which is where the fertilization finally happens.

But there's two types of pollinating: There's self pollination, and cross pollination.
Self pollination is when a flower is pollinated with another flower on the same plant, for example, tomatoes, or the same flower, for example, peas, plants can use the bees' help, but they don't necessarily need your help, but it makes the chances of the pollination process to succeed higher, because it's harder for the pollen to reach the other flower by wind or gravity.

Cross pollination is when the flower needs to be pollinated from another flower from another plant, it can also use your help or bees' help, for example, Dragon Fruit plant, it needs your help or bees' help to get pollinated because it needs pollen from another flower. HOWEVER, you can pack a lot of plants in a square so the wind can pollinate them on its own, such as corn, farmers like to plant corn in squares so when the wind blows through it, it cross pollinates without needing any help from humans, maybe bees but not humans.

Not all flowers are the same, not in color or shape, but in components, there are bisexual flowers, meaning that they are flowers that have both male and female parts, but there's some bisexual flowers that need cross pollination even though they have both male and female parts such as avocado flowers, and on the other hand, Unisexual Flowers, meaning that they are flowers that either have the parts of males or females, that need other flowers that are not the same gender, such as pumpkins.

We finished the pollination part, now we move on to the final part of this blog, how can you provide enough nutrition for the plant to do everything at once, because if you don't give your plant enough nutrition for the plant, it won't be able to expand its rootstock, grow more leaves for photosynthesis, get taller to reach more sunlight, produce flowers and grow fruit all at the same time.

For a better rootstock, flower production, and general cell division (Growth), you're gonna need Phosphorus and Calcium, which can be found in bones, finish eating a chicken drum, let it sit in boiling water until the water cools down, all the meant will fall from the bone, then put it in the oven, no specific temperature or time, but just roast it for 30 minutes on high heat, just... try not to burn it 馃槀 Now it's weak enough to grind by hand or even in a grinder, when it's a white fine-powder, now you can sniff.. now you can take one tablespoon of that powder and put it on a half/whole liter of water in a bottle, depends on how concentrated you want it to be, let it ferment for as long as you can, the more you give it time to ferment, the stronger it can get, but once you reach one about 3 weeks, waiting more than that won't make much difference, do not use that mixture as the main source of water for your plants, water your plants, then give your plants a little splash of that mixture daily, but wait for the water to soak in first don't put it all at once. You can use eggshells instead, you won't have to roast them in the oven but they won't have as much phosphorus as bones.

For more leaves and a taller plant, you're going to need Nitrogen, you can get nitrogen from dried leaves.
Where are you going? Not so fast brother, you're going to get these leaves composted so you can use them or it won't work.

For fruit development, you're going to need Potassium, you can get potassium from banana peelings, you're going to chop the peelings into small pieces for more surface area (To speed up the fermentation), then you're going to put them in a jar filled with water, and if you have bacteria water, breaking down will be much much faster. And just like the bonemeal mixture, waiting more than 3 weeks won't make much difference especially if you add bacteria water and chop the peelings. After 2-3 weeks, you throw away the peelings and mix one part of the stinky fermented banana peeling nuclear waste with 2 parts water, use them like the bonemeal mixture but you can use more than just a splash daily.

Nutrition doesn't work the way I just described it, every part of the plant needs every one of these elements to grow, but I wanted to say every main element that every part of the plant that it needs to grow.

Aaaaand that was everything for today, I will be posting blogs like these in the future... hopefully,
Thank you for your time, I know this was one long of a blog, but I wanted it to be this way so you can understand better, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog, if you liked this blog, make sure to hit that like button and if you want to see more posts like this from me, also make sure to hit that follow button, these things make me feel seen, they motivate me to keep posting and I would just really appreciate it if you give me a good comment, give me a post idea or even tell me about your plants, I love listening to people about their plants,
Have a good day 鉂わ笍
