Trending Page MUST be Fixed and not Removed

Just thinking loudly here after having posted this yesterday and after reading and replying on an amazing post of @acesontop in which many of us were talking about the weird look of the Trending Page as well as its uselessness as a "presentation card" for the Steem blockchain.

This time I don't want to talk about how stupid are usually TOP 10 posts on the Trending Page list, I think it is obvious and for sure everybody agree with the fact that the majority of them are worthless, independently if they try to fix the SBD price or increase the STEEM scarcity which are projects that may work or relief a little the pressure on the STEEM blockchain but are not helping at all on our image there.

I think that the TRENDING PAGE has to be our main "Business Card", not only by internal users but also, very importantly, by external newusers and investor prospectors.

Any social network has a sort of TRENDING page and so we need it here at the STEEM blockchain, the only we have to do now, as we have done with other major problems is to fix it. And, by fixing I mean we have to find a better way to show there what we want to be shown.
And, of course, what we want to be shown there not always is related with the projected rewards. We obviously do not want to show 2 or three SBD potatos and Burn Post on top of the trending page because they don't have any content to share, so, they are not interesting for anyone searching worth readable posts or projects aside of the good intentionality of those posts.

In my opinion, what we would like to see on top of the TRENDING PAGE are posts, of course, upvoted but mostly commented, replied and resteemed... the more the better.

If a particular post or topic generates participation on the community, it would deserve to be in the trending page, independently if it is a photography a well-written story, a sort of cooking receipt etc...

No matter if the post reaches 100$... I would not care of it if it is not VALUABLE IN CONTENT and, according to my understanding, something valuable generates comments, replies and resteemings besides upvotes.

We have survived to a very long time trying to improve the Economics, the curation rate, the rewarding curve, the Resource Credits, downvote system... all in all, a sort of very complicate algorithms which have solved many problems here and, at the same time, have created others, hopefully of lower importance...now, @steemit , and all steem developers and top 20 witnesses, could you please tell me why is so complicated to FIX the TRENDING PAGE?
