For ages i have sown
My seedlings have grown
With hunger i sleep
And wait till i reap

But there came the drought
With dryness and dust
Now no green leaves to flaunt
And harvest cut short

My store was as empty
as the barrel with the most noise
While my stomach still as hungry
Like the preacher on a fast

I then say, are the gods crazy?
Why keep me alive
And yet starve me daily
Why can't i die?

Mortal man that i am
I cannot but hope
To be showered from above
To harvest a bountiful farm

Sincerely
