Relationship was drama
Marriage a prison
And children a grave mistake
Until I met you
Life was dark
Filled with torture and despair
I was ready to give up
Throw in the towel
And damn the consequences
Until I met you
Nothing seemed meaningful
In the riot of my mind,
I was a disappointment
Filled with regret and so much hate
Running from God
And putting up a facade
Until I met you
You led me back to love and light
You made me see worth
And the wealth of treasures
Inherent in a life I thought was better dead
You helped me back to God
Made me feel whole
Complete and in love
Life is beautiful
Purposeful
Filled with so much hope
And joy plus fulfilment
Because I met you
I don't have much to give
That can express adequately
How much I love you
But I will give you all I have
All of me
Everything
Hoping
That maybe someday
You will understand
How much you mean to me
