FRIENDS.
I am hardly a very social person. Okay, I take that back. I think I am social but reserved sort of. Sounding scattered right? Yeah, I know too.
Basically I don't get really close to people easily and I am not about to start analysing the reasons responsible for it. Bottom line is as a result of this I have very few friends.
I am not going to mention names because I know most times in doing stuffs like this, you will probably omit a name or two, so I will talk about my friends generally and how grateful I am to have them.
So I have some of the sweetest, loveliest, craziest, most thoughtful and most serious of persons as friends and thinking of them right now, I can't help smiling.
Over the years, my friends have been responsible for keeping me in line whenever I feel tired of being responsible. Well in the little ways they can because they always say I am stubborn. Friends have pushed me to being the best of myself, raised me and comforted me at some horrible times, condoned my excesses and loved me silly. I can always be sure of the truth and some quality advise from them well amidst some good old teasing.
I know I said I wasn't going to mention names but I have to make an exception here because this person is more than my friend, he is family and that's my brother Promise. He stood by me through some crazy times, even when I kept doing what was wrong, He is one person that made me realize how different life in the University was and how awesome life with God could be. Thank you so much P.Prom.
Remembering friends from different phases of my life, I can only be grateful for the impact they have had so far and that they will continue to have. I remember friends from secondary school and then from the University, from home and church and friends online too.
These people have made life beautiful and fun and worth it at one time or the other so in my opinion these handful number of persons consist of my little world. I don't want to say much because there are some things I really cannot say but guys you know yourselves and please know I really appreciate all you have done in my life. You have given my life colours and flavours and I will always be grateful.
So it's two more days to go and I think the initial over excitement is dwindling and I am just filled with a sense of peace and gratitude. I hope y'all appreciate God with me.
