Truly, everyone seems to understand that information is power, and that its absence can make one really, really ignorant and even deformed— not able to live an effective and functional life in his or her world. But then, why do many don't really feel enthusiastic when it comes to listening or reading news on Social Media, such as Facebook, Twitter, and so on?
Well, in as much as people want to be informed; they don't really want to feel despondent by some sort of news. I mean, nobody love to hear bad news.
But in our world today, almost 90% of the news that we hear or read on media is dispiriting. No wonder, a great number of persons have unknowingly developed a phobia, which one may call the "news phobia".
Tell a person "I've got some news for you" with a level of seriousness, he or she becomes anxious— pondering what could be good about such a news. No doubt, everybody wants to keep hearing good news, because they are soothing to the soul, and of course, good for one's mental health.
Proverbs 15:30 says:
Light in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.
Just imagine that someone wakes up in the morning, and all he or she keeps hearing from the next person, radio, television— or even, social media platforms are ill news. What do you think the whole day of such a person will look like?
Honestly, bad news sucks big time!
Hoping to Find Good News...
On daily basis, most of us switch on our TV setd, radios, or go online with the anticipation to find some great headlines, news, but oftentimes we get disappointed (or distressed) by what we see or read about. This is because our world is apparently saturated with ill happenings like killing, blackmailing, rapes, amongst other disheartening things going on across the globe.
Recently, I read some really upsetting news that I felt like crying... How a suspected thief was burned into ashes... How a guy who had killed and butchered his fiancee for ritual was caught and nearly beaten to death...
In the midst of all these, you will ask how can one find Good news in a world full of darkness; in which some folks will do anything to get money, power or fame.
On this note, I would like to share the good news that we never seem to find in the world.

There's so much evil in our world that only God can save one from.
The Good news is about the message of Christ... The message of Christ is the message of love! The good news is the word of God!
The Good News!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
Romans 5:8:
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
