Splinterands + Koinos Partnership Confirmed!

Just Yesterday I speculated about a Splinterlands + Koinos partnership

That post was an in depth research about what had happened over the last year. So it was a big surprise that just later that day the KOINOS Group launched an official Roadmap which revealed a partnership with Splinterlands!

So there you have it, my first premise could possibly come true:

Splinterlands is aiming to develop games on the Koinos blockchain

Well, actually if you listen to the video it's not quite that clear. No game has been announced yet and what @andrarchy stated was nothing very tangible. He just said that they would "help them deliver their next generation of products". So that seems to suggest that Koinos Group/Koinos Pro will be helping them to build SPL products which will somehow utilize the Koinos blockchain.

Could this be a cross chain kind of a thing where they roll out SPS and/or DEC to the Koinos blockchain? That seems to me somewhat of a low possibility, as they mainly bridged to ETH and BNB because there was liquidity there. The Koinos chain, however, is very new and if anything the inflow would be into Koinos.

So to me it seems more likely that @splinterlands will be developing new products (i.e. games) on KOINOS. If so, the team could be "testing the waters" and see how a game would operate on this new chain and see if it has any advantages over Hive (e.g. free accounts). As pointed out in the last post, however, @aggroed has stated that SPL itself will not be moving anytime soon off of Hive.

Personally, I am excited to see this collaboration as I am involved in both chains and I believe that this development will provide growth overall.
