I prefer the look of the sketch before the inking to be honest !!!!
But I decided to put the "final" doodle first, for the thumbnail, regardless of how I felt.
Again, like some of my other illustrations I've posted, ofcourse I've added an extra eye :P I feel some of my drawings don't look very complete if I don't add the extra eye! It adds some sort of flare, I think.
I wasn't feeling too great when I was drawing this, so I feel like I tried to channel my emotions through the piece- hence the rain drops/tears/water and the sleepy looking person. To me, because of how I was feeling, the two eyes closed means or references fatigue, and the single open eye symbolizes still being aware/hyper aware? Not sure how to phrase this but that was how I was feeling at the time- almost as if I was too tired/sad/whatever but couldn't help but be really awake and aware at the same time.
I like doing little doodles like this, I'm hoping to improve my inking at some point- because I hate the way it looks.
