Last weekend was the last game of the Leones del Caracas Team, representing Venezuela in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), held at the Monumental La Rinconada Stadium, in the City of Caracas/Venezuela.

A group of friends tried to buy tickets to go see it live, but it was not possible (the tickets were sold out); so we decided to go to "GARAGE" a very nice place where we have already visited in other opportunities to see it on by TV, (located here in the city of Guatire/Venezuela.)

The cousin of one of my friends (Edgardo) reserved the day before two tables at "GARAGE", when we arrived it was completely full, there was not a single table unoccupied, Edgardo was already there with his wife and daughter, so we sat at the next table he reserved and we started to watch the game and to pick up our team.

The game started at 7:30pm, many people had t-shirts, shirts and caps of the Champion Team of Venezuela (Los Leones del Caracas), we also brought a big Venezuelan flag, in case we won we would celebrate in a big way.

We asked the waiter for some beers to encourage us even more to watch the great ball game.

A little later another friend arrived with her husband, they ordered a Whisky service.

There was a lot of excitement watching that game, I tell you that during the whole baseball season, our champion team "Los Leones del Caracas" played extremely well, that's why they were champions of Venezuela, but that day they faced the Champion Team of Dominican Republic, they were not so lucky, in 9 inning they only managed to make 3 hits, the opposing team's pitching was very good, so they made several "strikeouts" (occurs when a batter accumulates three strikes during his turn at bat).

They did not manage to score a single run during the whole game, so all of us present were a little upset and sad.

The game ended and our Team lost 3 runs by 0, (they gave us 9 arepas), that's what we say here in Venezuela when a Team does not make a single run during the whole game, they are at zero. Nine arepas, one for each of the nine inning, hahaha.

We lost that great game, we were all sad, but immediately they turned off the TVs and a group of "Pop" music (a combination of different musical genres) that sounded very good came on stage, so we left the sadness aside and got to dance.

The girl from the group that was singing, got down from the stage to sing and dance with her audience.

The group was having a lot of fun, so we kept enjoying, drinking and dancing, even though we could not show our Venezuelan flag, but we are still very proud that our Team was able to become this year's Venezuelan champion after many years without winning a Championship.

After a while we got hungry and ordered some tasty hamburgers with a delicious tequeño full of cheese in the middle.

We ate, continued drinking and enjoying the moment until 5 am when they announced over the microphones that it was time to close. We stayed until the end of the day, our team lost, but we enjoyed that night to the fullest.

So much for another of my fun experiences of a weekend full of nostalgia, excitement and fun, thanks for reading. Have a great day.
