¿PUBLIC OR PRIVATE RECOGNITION?

I have been working for many years in public schools in the Governor's Office of the State of Miranda/Venezuela. I consider myself a humanist person by birth and by vocation so I like to help anyone who needs me, that makes me feel very happy.

I always say it and I keep it, the more you give, the more you receive, as long as you do it from your heart and without any kind of interest. There is a very famous saying that says "DO GOOD AND DON'T LOOK AT WHO". And it is very true.

With respect to this question I tell you that I do not like to be thanked in public when the help is specifically to a particular person, I explain: during my long life I have helped countless people close to me through food, clothing, medicine, hospital visits, humanitarian aid in the community, etc..

Simply thanking me privately is enough, I don't need anyone else to know what I am doing at that moment of my own free will.

However I have received several recognitions as a professional, as a collaborator of some specific activity and I love to participate in those memorable events where I am named by a microphone in an amphitheater full of people, to hear my name and surname and the recognition that is that moment is made to me, such as: "The most charismatic and loving teacher with her students", chosen mainly by children, that fills me with pride and happiness, I get up from my seat and salute like a great Mis, while everyone applauds me. Hahahaha.

This type of recognition as an honor to the merit of any work that during your career you deserve, undoubtedly I love it in public, and the more people the better. hahaha.

I always remember a "Specialist Teacher's Day" where they made a celebration for all the multidisciplinary team that worked at the school, (Psychologist, Psychopedagogist, Speech Therapist, Social Worker) everything was decorated very beautifully, there were several events for each grade of children led by their teachers, songs, dances and performances. And in one of these activities a girl with Down Syndrome grabbed the microphone and with difficulty in her vocabulary she called my name saying: teacher Tibisay come to the stage!

I was really surprised, I got up from my chair and went up to the stage, that girl told me Congratulations on your day, she gave me a gift made by her and her classmates (that has much more value) and hugged me tightly, at that moment I could not hold back my tears and the worst thing is that I had to grab the microphone and say a few words, well imagine....

As a crying girl I went to the crowd, as I could I expressed the emotion and happiness I felt thanking everyone present and all the organizers of such a beautiful event, I still remember the endless applause of that moment, it was something unforgettable really beautiful.
