Hello friends of this fabulous community, for this engagement left to us by mr @Galenkp, I chose option number 2 . "Nickname given or received", specifically: Have you given someone else a nickname that stuck? What is it and how did they earn it?

I have a friend, named Nancy, for many years, we studied together all the university career.

She was always a very beautiful woman, she dressed very well and wore very high heels daily, —as she was short— we lived nearby in Caracas/Capital of Venezuela.

At the University most of us women including me dressed lightly and casually, with sport shoes.

I consider that university life is very hectic, you always go from one place to another to meet the objectives of the different subjects, everything is a run, run, at least in our house of study and for the career we decided to study (Psychopedagogy), we had to visit libraries, sports fields, special educational centers, among others.

That is why the best thing to do was to dress comfortably, but Nancy did not care about that, she went to class every day and to the different extracurricular activities well dressed and with her high heels.

The Physical Education teacher summoned us one Saturday to a Special Education School (Mental Retardation) to do the last experiential evaluation with those children.

We arrived and went to the volleyball court of the Institution, Nancy arrived with her high heels, —as usual— but in her bag she brought some sport shoes, she went up to the bleachers, sat down and changed her shoes, when she came down and joined the group to do the activities with the children, we were all amazed at her real height, she looked really very small, we saw each other's faces and we could not control our laughter.

Suddenly I don't know why I shouted —Oh smurfette arrived— and that made us laugh even more, she looked very embarrassed and ran back to the bleachers to get her bag and change her shoes, I followed her, I apologized a thousand times, I told her not to be silly, to go back to the activity because if not she would lose the subject and she would not graduate with us in that promotion.

I promised her never to have that kind of games with her again (I really felt very bad for what I had done).

I don't know how, but I convinced her, we went downstairs to talk to the teacher and we were able to do the evaluation satisfactorily. She left as soon as the evaluation was finished and I met with the rest of the group to explain what I had discussed with Nancy.

I told them to please never call her by that nickname again, that I was very sorry for what I had done, since my friend felt very bad, and they agreed (well, I thought they did).

On Monday we all went to the University, I was very attentive to what was going to happen with my friend Nancy, we entered the classroom and a large group approached her, they hugged her, kissed her, saying in chorus —The most beautiful smurfette of this University has arrived— She laughed and returned all the hugs and kisses.

From that moment until now (30 years later) my friend kept that nickname, almost nobody calls her by her name, we all call her smurfette in a nice way, with love and respect, she likes her nickname, hahaha, she still wears her heels (not so high anymore because of her age) but she is still beautiful, elegant and very flirtatious, until now we continue our friendship.

So much for my participation in the WEEKEND engagement.
