This week I dared to make a cold cake of Maria cookies with chocolate and coffee that I saw on a TV show.
As I am passionate about everything related to coffee, I immediately reached for my phone and recorded it, that cake looked quite provocative. The next day I went to the supermarket to buy the ingredients, I only had the coffee at home, the Della Nonna coffee which is among my favorites, its aroma and flavor is truly delicious.
I confess that I had tried this type of cold cakes with chocolate, strawberries and even coffee (I love them), but I had never made one exclusively for myself at home.
I did everything just as it was explained on TV and kept the cake in the fridge, in a few hours I took it out of the fridge and served myself a piece, I tell you that it was exquisite, that mixture of coffee with chocolate is great.
The ingredients are a bit costly, but I did the math and it was much more economical to snack every day with a piece of this cold cake, than to buy a snack every day in the afternoon, as is my habit.
Besides, it is something that one does without skimping on the quantities for the preparation and we do it as much more love than buying it on the street.
For the weekend I still had some cake left, I invited a friend to my apartment and I offered her a slice, she was fascinated with that coffee flavor that predominated in that cake, I prepared the coffee that I was going to use in the preparation of the cake much stronger than what they explained on television, so that exquisite coffee flavor was the determining factor in that wonderful dessert.
I wrote that recipe in a notebook that I have had for many years where I keep different recipes, both sweet and savory, so I know that I will not lose it and I can make that cake again when I feel like it and I have the money to compare the ingredients, at least I know I always have coffee, I can never miss it.
I do not leave the recipe, since the objective of this publication is not to spread a recipe, but to highlight the qualities and advantages of having coffee at home, the diversity with which we can enjoy it, but if anyone wants the recipe I will gladly send it to you.
