My neighbor, went to Colombia (Bogota), to her youngest son's house to spend her 68th birthday and enjoy her son who had not seen him for several years, her purpose was to stay there only one month, but unfortunately she got sick and remained hospitalized for 3 months.
Then she left the hospital but with absolute rest at her son's house, when the doctor gave her the order to be able to travel, she came back to Venezuela with her husband, 5 years older than her.
They came by land by bus, they left on Friday at 4pm and arrived on Sunday at 2pm to the city of Caracas/Venezuela.
I promised to pick them up and so I did, but they told me that they would arrive at 10am that Sunday, so at that time I was at the terminal, after 2 hours waiting, they were able to communicate with me and informed me that there was a delay in one of the alcabala, in which they remained 3 hours, they lowered all the passengers of the bus and checked them one by one.
Isabel told me, my friend, what a pity you have to wait so many hours, but don't worry, I will bring you something that you love and is your passion, half a kilo of delicious coffee that I bought in Colombia. That filled me with a lot of joy and really lowered my stress considerably. Hahaha.
At 2pm sharp they arrived. What a thrill to see them again, we hugged and kissed each other with great joy. Those two old men could not handle so much luggage, the suitcase of my car and the back were full, the lady got in the front and the gentleman could hardly fit in the back with the amount of luggage we carried.
When we arrived at the residence where we live, two neighbors came down to help us unload everything they brought, I was very anxious to get my coffee.
After unloading everything I told Isabel: "I am not leaving until you give me what you brought me" she laughed and began to search through that amount of luggage, until she found it and gave it to me.
I went home excited to know that the next day I was going to try a new coffee and also Colombian (they have a very good reputation for being the best).
The next day, when I got up the first thing I did was to look for the package of coffee, when I opened it I was amazed by its aroma, it was really something that I had never perceived in any other coffee I have tried, I thought to myself, if it smells like that I don't want to imagine its flavor.
I poured it into the container where I usually keep the coffee and proceeded to prepare the greca.
When it was ready, the aroma it gives off is simply fascinating, but what was my surprise when I tasted it? .... I didn't like the taste at all (what a disappointment). The smell is delicious, but the taste is strange, it tastes like burnt wood.
I couldn't drink it black, so I prepared a coffee with milk for breakfast with a sandwich, (with the milk it improved its taste a little).
The worst of all was when in the afternoon my friend asked me if I liked the coffee, what a shame but I had no choice but to tell her the truth as I am telling you now.
Who could have imagined that this coffee with such an exquisite aroma would have an unpleasant taste.
As the package is very large (half a kilo), and here in Venezuela it is very expensive, I opted to buy a package of my favorite coffee (Amanecer) and I mixed it with this one so as not to lose it; of course the "Amanecer" got worse, but the "Viejo Molino" improved a little.
So my dears, if you see that coffee don't buy it I don't recommend it.¨
This is another one of my little reviews with my inseparable daily companion, I am very happy to share it with all of you, thank you for reading it. See you soon.
