From time immemorial cats are credited with a connection with the other world. As a rule, with its dark side: sorcerers and witches. Although, most likely, black cats suffered for quite a different reason. Less than a hundred years ago, roads in towns and villages were completely ignored. Under the cover of the night, it was difficult to notice the animal. And if the cat ran across the road to the rider, the horse bucked, and he fell to the ground.
Our ancestors believed that the mirror keeps a piece of the owner's soul. Therefore, if it is broken, the soul remains defenseless against the dark forces. Well, if you come from the other side, the mirrors used to be an insanely expensive thing, which was carefully stored and handed over to the children. Only very rich people could afford to buy a mirror. A quality mirror could be exchanged for a whole estate.
Previously, people believed that every tree has its own kind spirit. A knock on a tree means to ask for help from him.
This terrible number is closely connected with Christianity. In the Bible it is called "the beast," that is, Satan. Why exactly 666? Nobody still does not know. Some linguists consider it a mistake of translators. After all, the Bible has been translated so many times. In any case, this number should not be feared. In Asia, for example, 666 has exactly the opposite meaning and symbolizes good luck.
