With so many communities across the globe celebrating a variety of holidays in December, we wanted to host a festive contest that could include everyone.
Inspired by the #wintermas tag, which was created by @thekittygirl to highlight connections across cultures with its inclusiveness, we devised a plan for the holiday season. This contest will be a bit different than our others, with no traditional 1st-3rd place. Instead, we will be distributing as many prizes as possible! More on that later...
Collaboration!
We're excited to announce that we will be partnering with InnerBlocks for this wintermas celebration! The goal of the InnerBlocks project is to encourage personal stories on the Hive blockchain, you know, sharing our inner blocks! What a perfect match for the community vision here!
Why is prompt in quotations? Well, because we've decided to ask for more open-ended posts for this contest. We hope this will enable anyone to find something to write about that fits.
End of Year/ Holiday Reflections
For our wintermas contest, we are asking participants to write about their thoughts as the year closes, express the feelings this time of the year inspires, write out your hopes or wishes for the new year... We're open, just keep it thoughtful and holiday/ end of year centered!
A few ideas...
❄️ Write about the traditions you celebrate with the people in your life, and what they mean to you.
❄️ Express the feelings, good and/or bad, that surround the holidays/new year for you, and tell us about their roots.
❄️ Talk about the hopes you have for the new year, things you're happy to leave behind in 2023, or share personal changes that you know will come to your life in 2024.
Six people will receive 5 Hive each for their entries, sponsored by the community and @grindan.
