The world right now is.. well, to put it frank just insane. I had no idea that once I had finished working in Antarctica for the summer season I would be entering a world of panic and forced social distancing. All for a good reason, mind you.
However, it has allowed me the time to go through and edit a few 100 photographs that I took over my work contracts this past summer season, only leaving a few 1,000 plus remaining.
This shot I took on my first visit to the Falkland Islands/Malvinas of the season in November, where you can interact with King penguins, Rock hopper penguins, Magellanic penguins and of course these guys ~ Gentoo penguins
A nice reminder that in this social distancing that we find ourselves in ~ do not forget to reach out to others and see how they are. Being isolated for weeks and potentially months can affect all of us emotionally. A simple phone call or a short message saying hello can mean the world to someone.
Stay safe everyone!
