It is sort of hard to believe that I took this photo at about 3am whilst "working hard" in Antarctica a few years ago. I still remember the morning and where I was on the ship, as we slowly transited into Cierva Cove.
This Cove itself is a zodiac cruise area only with no place to land, which does make it amazing for ice cruising as well as Leopard Seal encounters. I must say I always find it hard to pull myself out of bed first thing. However, once you open your eyes to this landscape you are beyond grateful that you crawled out from a warm bed.
