Right now, I should be on a ship exploring along the Antarctic peninsula with amazing colleagues/friends and new friends whom are seeing all these sights for the first time. However, it was not meant to be this season, as the world attempts to get back to some sort of normality.
One quote that springs to mind when I begin to think about my personal circumstance is the follow:
It is a lovely quote and in my current predicament I find it resonates with me quite well. On the plus side, it will be my first Christmas and birthday I get to celebrate with my family here in Australia. It is a major positive aspect that I choose to focus on as I look at photographs from past expeditions, missing Antarctica.
