The Falkland Island/Malvinas are an amazing group of Islands well worth of your time to explore, especially, if you are a fan of bird life. Not only are there a great number of albatross and penguin species amongst many others but the scenic landscape of this part of the world is breathtaking.
At some landing sites, not only are there 4 different species of penguin but a long sandy beach, which can almost be considered to be a tropical destination. As you look along the sandy shoreline you can see thousands of penguins coming out of the breaking surf and waddling their way back to their nests.
I was slowly walking along the beach and saw this lone baby King penguin standing in the sand, facing the strong wind and carefully grooming them-self. I sat close by and watched this guy for a while, took a few photos and then continued my way quietly walking along the beach surrounded by thousands of penguins. Not a bad day at the office I would say.
