When you have a constant flow of neighbours walking around you it seems pretty easy for these guys to ignore them and nap away. South Georgia is probably one of the most intense and animal packed places I have seen on my travels. Some beaches we haven't even been able to get to because the density of animals is too great and we would disturb them if we landed.
As a result we cruise around the shoreline and nearby rocky outcrops to interact and observe these 1,000's of animals going about their day the best way they know how. It means a peaceful and humbling experience with other things in life that you usually have buzzing around in your head just seems to float away.
