Paulet Island is a small island in Antarctic Sound. During the summer breeding season it is home to about 100,000 breeding pairs of Adelie penguins, which is quite the site and smell to behold.

If you are ever lucky enough to visit this place in late December and early January you will be blessed to encounter a lot of adorable baby Adelie penguins. As you can see from the photo they have a fluffy brown coat, whilst the adults have a white ring around their eyes and a complete black head. This species is the smallest of the brush tail penguin species that we encounter on the Antarctic peninsula.

Just an adorable baby penguin photo to help everyone get through another day of global craziness and help us all get through another week. Enjoy!
