The notorious Drake Passage! It is infamously known as being one of the most dangerous passages in the world. This is due to the fact that numerous ships and people have disappeared whilst attempting to transit this area. I have personally transited this body of water numerous times of the part few years and I must say the degree of comfort various considerably.
There is what is known as the Drake Lake, which is gorgeous to sail across and some people even consider it to be boring at times. However, those people have never crossed the Drake Shake because if they had they would not be complaining about a smooth lake crossing. The photo below is somewhere more towards the Drake Shake on the spectrum. With the swell somewhere between 5-8m for 2 days, as we sailed back to Ushuaia, Argentina from the Antarctic Peninsula. I am pretty happy to scrambled up to this lookout part on the ship and risked getting my camera soaked to snap this photo.
