When you are able to get to a landing site that has a congregation of a few 100,000 breeding pairs then you know you are in for a real treat. The sound, the visual and the smell is quite overwhelming and hard to really truly comprehend.
Here we were lucky enough to get in and explore around Paulet Island in Antarctic Sound and it did not disappoint with 100's upon 100's of Adelie penguins everywhere - on the shoreline and in the water. It didn't matter where you looked you were simply bombarded with penguins galore!
I am truly lucky to get to come to these amazing places day after day during the summer season in Antarctica!
