Walk down to the harbor
Yesterday we went to the Belgian restaurants again and it reminded me of some older pictures I still have laying around. Yesterday was the first time we went out for dinner and I totally forgot to take pictures of the food. Thankfully I still have plenty of pictures from other moments which I haven't shared yet because we enjoyed our restaurant visits to the max during the summer!
Angus beef burger
These pictures are from our visits a few months ago when I decided to try the Angus beef burger which I hadn't taste before in this restaurant. I can appreciate a good burger although I don't eat them quite often. I thought this Angus beef Burger would be a good choice. Too bad for me I didn't like the taste of the burger and combination with the cheese at all. I love cheese on my burgers, don't get me wrong, it just needs to be cheddar in my personal opinion. It was not until I managed to pull off all the cheese that I started to appreciate the burger.
Plain salad
Every time you eat here we actually get the same salad on the side as you can see it's nothing special but it does the trick. It's better than at many other places where you don't get any veggies at all. My boyfriend enjoyed Belgian dark beer. It's called kasteelbier and it became a tradition for him to enjoy one when we visit this restaurant. Our daughter had waffles with chocolate and whipped cream afterwards and I received a complimentary coffee. The food was not that special but the best thing about our visit was that we got to enjoy a few hours in the harbor with a nice temperature and soft breeze while having a nice chat.
Yesterday's visit
Although I didn't take any pictures, yesterday the food was quite nice as well as the chats we had with a couple sitting next to us. They were Chinese but living in Canada and now traveling through Spain for a month. They were very curious about how we ended up here and how it was to settle as they are exploring to move here (maybe half of the year) themselves. The chats were nice and we had a complementary Baileys afterwards, quite good as we both love Baileys! We haven't been exploring restaurants much the past weeks as I'm trying to play by a budget more now as summer came to an end I feel we need to be a bit tighter on the budget so we can save up for a car. Priorities :)
