A weekend visit to Chipping Norton led me to craft a little surprise present for my daughter.

I spotted a sewing shop called "The Fibre Works".

I immediately felt drawn to this soft pink yarn, thinking it would be so comfortable to wear.

I decided to crochet arm warmers.
I intermittently sewed between other tasks during the weekend, finding it to be a really good hobby to relax my mind.

I used the waffle pattern because I love the pattern it creates on the wrong side, and it provides excellent stretch while being thick, perfect for the soft and delicate material, ideal for warmers.

I created a rectangle and folded it lenghtwise.

Sewing the edges together and leaving a small hole for the thumb.

I had to sew it very neatly so the wrong side could be used as well.

Securing the threads.

I love how soft this is!

Right side

Wrong side

When I was done, I tried it on, admiring both the right side and the wrong side, as both had nice patterns.

I was quite pleased with the result.

But then I had extra thread left over.

I thought a nice simple earrings would be quick to make.

I decided on an easy heart pattern.

I made four hearts, using a 1.2 mm hook for one and a 1.4 mm hook for the other two, giving me two sets of small and larger hearts.

I attached them together by sewing the backs.

Then, I pondered what to do next. I had chosen beads and silver findings to go with them, and my imagination was running wild.

I crafted them all, thinking that dangling beads on a chain would be nice as they would add movement and sparkle, making them more attractive.

So, here they are, sweet-looking dazzling earrings and a pair of arm warmer.

They turned out so nicely that I wanted a pair for myself and for my daughter's cousins.

My daughter couldn't wait for her birthday next week to have them, so I gave them to her as an early birthday present.

She was overjoyed, loved them, and is so proud of them.

Thank you for looking. Happy Monday, everyone!
