It has been a lovely day here, a bit of winter sunshine appeared, and I was quite pleased and took the chance so I have been working in the garden all day then got exhausted, as a treat, we went out to the restaurant called Panpan in oxford.

The food was lovely, I enjoyed the seaweed salad the most, it is mixed with shredded carrots and some sesame seeds, a mixture of salty sweet and I like the crunch, then we finished with a hot bubble milk.

While waiting for the bill, I was fiddling with the straw wrapper and chopstick. My hands are always doing something, I think they have their own brain, haha!

and accidentally made a flower design with straw stem (ok, it's maybe my imagination, but it looks like a flower to me, haha!.)

I took it home and fixed it on coconut leaf midrib (stick) with a green twine to create the stem.

That idea got stuck in my head and I thought I will try a couple more.

I grabbed an empty stripy pink paper bag from kiddies sweets

Then a left over christmas tissue papper.

I cut the paper into about 2 x 6, I rolled the paper around the pen (instead of chopstick).

I crunched it all as tight.

Then carefully pull the paper, it will look like a tiny corrogated tube.

I used two pieces and put them together like so.

Secure on stick with twine

Then I tied them together with the left over red ribbon from christmas.

I had a sudden nostalgia, I was thinking that I saw this paper flower before, I tried to recall. Then it reminded me of my mum's project when I was 5, she made a bunch of paper flower like this for someone, this urged me to call her, she's on the other side of the world.

Now I realized that children subconciously memorize what they see, and appears when it's needed, therefore creativity starts from the very beginning.
