Comic Book Stores
We saw a superhero movie
before the movie started we visited
a comic book store across the street
the kid or man/kid behind the counter
was an encylipedia of knowledge
i looked at him
did he really live in his mothers basement
did he ever get laid
more than once
will he be here in twenty years
what comics does he follow
does he read them differently then I would
his being there holding that space behind the counter
was like a gypsie with magic potions
his knowledge and mystery of gifts to offer others
I felt very dumb
bought and Archie comic
in his world
he knew i was not a real person
