A few weeks ago, I had the great idea to sketch out a drawing of Pad Thai, a simple yet amazing food from the lovely country of Thailand. I was going to then use Adobe Illustrator to ink it into a digital format and use the digital drawing as another design to upload to my Redbubble store. Well, previously I had only gotten to the sketch out in a sketchbook faze, and I tried going into Illustrator at the time and bring it to digital life, but I quickly failed. It's been forever since I did anything in illustrator. New versions have come out, and I need to relearn and learn a lot. By then it was a bit late in the day so I told myself, "well, I'll just do it tomorrow." Of course, tomorrow became two weeks or so.

I went to work on it today with what I've re-learned in Illustrator so far. And here's, one of, the final designs. I made a few designs with different sayings:
Pretty good, took a lot of time, but hopefully as I get more used to things I'll be able to work much quicker. I am still baffled at how to make a good cohesive t shirt design, I think that will take me a bit more time to learn. I've always drawn, but doing anything commercial was never anything that I wanted to do with my art so I never got any practice and many people don't seem to realize, but graphic design is far removed from fine art. There are obviously crossover skills, but for me, I never had any skills in the graphic design world.
I went for about an hour ago, once again, i'm pushing the edge of the day to get this actifit report card turned in. It was a pretty nice run, a nice cool night, unlike the few nights and days previous, though I did stop 3/4 into it and just walked the rest of the way back to my home.
