Upon looking back her friend was trying to cover a massive yawn emanating from her mouth.
Umm ok thought Jane. This is the first trip I'll be taking in ages and she looks completely uninterested in most of what I'm talking about. The Azores is a place I've wanted to visit for many moons and I finally have the savings and time to make it happen.
I wonder what she'll be up to when I'm gone. Will she even miss me? The question is a valid one. Jane wonders often about the change in behavior of her friend Jackie.
They've been friends ever since the first day of kindergarten when they both met on the playground. She was on the swings and swung too high and fell back to Earth hard. A lesson she never forgot. Scraping away the sand from her knees after her spill they met and Jackie helped her back up.
Ever since they have been the best of friends. I wonder what has changed she thought to herself? Maybe nothing and she has a tendency to overthink these things when there might be nothing here.
