Dominion Challenge: Pt. 3 - Design Your Own Dominion Cards!
Welcome back to the People's Guild. We've started a new segment of the show in which we aim to engage the writers & content creators out there through a new per-episode challenge.
In Part 1, we challenged the community to craft powerful, element-specific abilities unique to each element. Part 2 saw a call for the first batch of cards. Now, it’s time to round out Dominion with the final part in the series!
Part 3 Challenge Overview
Your task is to design three unique Dominion cards:
- 2 Rare cards
- 1 Epic card
- No overlapping splinters: Each card should represent a different splinter, showcasing the diversity of the Dominion set. This includes any elements you used in Part 2 of the series!
- Integrate the new abilities from Part 1: Make use of the element-specific abilities crafted in the previous challenge (if you did not participate in Part 1, don't worry! Choose your favorite abilities from the community's submissions and use them in your own card designs!).
Submission Guidelines
- Card Details: For each card, don't forget to include the name, splinter, mana cost, stats (attack, health, speed, armor), and possibly a short description that reflects its character or backstory.
- Visuals: Download the card frames from our article to give your creations a polished look (available below).
- Creativity: Think about how your designs will interact with existing cards and the strategic layers they’ll add to gameplay!
Inspiration
Consider how these cards would add value to guild battles, how they might shift tactics within the game, and how each card’s design could uniquely express its splinter’s theme.
We can’t wait to see what powerful Domineers you bring to the field. Let the creative battles begin!
Rewards
With our largest prize pool yet, we're excited to celebrate the community’s creativity in this 3-part Dominion Challenge! By the end of Part 3, we’ll select a grand winner based on their cumulative contributions across all parts of the challenge. The prize pool includes ~3,000 SPS along with a selection of Chaos Legion and Riftwatcher packs.
