Writing Prompt: Change the code, entry by thepavsalford

Hi, this is my first entry to the Writing Prompt initiative by @mariannewest, in response to 29 September 2025, @mariannewest's Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2875: change the code

I’ve been a member of Hive for some time, and I am usually active on the Actifit, Wednesday Walk, and Caturday communities.

I’m happy to be part of the Hive blockchain and the social activity that takes place here.

My entry:

When we talk about changing the code, the first thing that springs to mind is a dress code.

As I now remember the time when we used to go to nightclubs in the 90s (at this point, the stopwatch reminded me that my time has ended, but I will keep writing, because my post included my first time introduction), I can but notice how things are different now.

Clubgoers had to follow a specific dress code, otherwise doormen would not let them in.

Now, it’s like if someone yelled to people: “Change the code!”, and they all started wearing casual clothes to go for a night out.

Back then, prestigious night clubs required people to be smartly dressed to be admitted in.

How things have changed!
