If something appears too good to be true, it usually turns out to be just that.
The mainstream media has been reporting that Stormy Daniels, a voluptuous porn star, allegedly had an affair with President Donald Trump. His lawyer, Michael Cohen, reportedly paid her ‘hush’ money just before the election. The stories say he then billed Trump, which may have breached campaign contribution laws.
To gain the documentation from President Trump’s lawyer, the FBI used a little known ‘loophole’ to legally justify raiding Michael Cohen’s home, office and apartment- effectively sidestepping the attorney/client confidentiality privilege.
For years, we have seen this den of vipers blatantly flaunt the law, bypassing it through a systematic web of corruption. Now using a technicality to gain evidence of an apparent technical violation, they are already smugly dreaming that this scandal will ruin President Donald Trump and lead to his impeachment.
Cognitive Dissonance is the mental discomfort (psychological stress) experienced by a person who simultaneously holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values. The occurrence of cognitive dissonance is a consequence of a person performing an action that contradicts personal beliefs, ideals, and values. It also occurs when confronted with new information that contradicts said beliefs, ideals, and values. This appears to be what President Trump’s enemies are suffering from.
This narrative reads like the plot of a cheap mystery/romance work of fiction. It’s really not surprising, considering the source. Unfortunately for President Trumps’ enemies, this scandal way have some very concerning consequences for them. It has set a precedent for circumventing attorney/client privilege by raiding lawyers’ properties, in a search for documents; highlighting the legal consequences for breaching campaign contribution laws.
This is only my humble opinion but I think Trump’s enemies just TRUMPED themselves.
